a lot easier?

definitley not a lot easier...maybe hotel school is, but most majors at Cornell are comparable difficulty to getting the other scores. AEM Cornell is probably more difficult than Stern, less selective than Wharton and UC Berkeley and Cornell in almost everything are on par with admissions selectviity

From what I hear, Berkeley is pretty easy if you're in-state.

I know that the acceptance rate isn't everything (it doesn't tell you anything about schools like UChicago), but Stanford has a substantially lower rate and UPenn has a marginally lower rate than Cornell.

i live in CA and berkeley is not pretty easy. my friend with 1550, all 5s on AP, good grades, stuff you'd expect for an applicant who gets accepted into 1st tier schools, didn't get into berkeley..

honestly..theres too many asians in california..nearly 40-50% of the UC student body is asian american (im not being rascist.. im asian myself lol..and not planning to apply to UC..hoping to get a better chance outa state.)

U.s. news also states that UC berkely has a higher selectivity ranking than Cornell, Johns Hopkins, Emory, Carnegie Mellon, NYU, alot more.. but UPenn and Stanford are obviously of higher ranks

Berkeley is tough for out of staters but relatively easy for in-state residents (the avg. SAT scores prove it). I've had a TON of friends who went to a CC, earned a respectable GPA, and got into Cal after two years.

haha, funny guy.

troll alert

It depends on which college you apply to at Cornell. With a college like Arts and Sciences, stats are very important. It's middle 50% for SATs are roughly 1330-1500 (something like that). However, for a school like hotel administration, stats are important, but not as important as Arts and Sciences. Experience in the field of hospitality is a lot more desirable for the hotel school.

how selective is the school of human ecology?

what are you interested in studying in humec? because if you try and apply to humec for english..that won't work haha

apparel and textile management

do those other schools even have degrees in this field?

"how selective is the school of human ecology?"

The College of Human Ecology has roughly a 30% acceptance rate, and the middle 50% for SATs are roughly 1270-1430 (something like that). I believe that the college has a higher percentage of women than men. If you are applying for the apparel and textile management major, you should probably submit a portfolio with your work. I'm not sure if submitting a portfolio is optional or not, but if it is optional, still send in a portfolio with the work you've done because you may be at a disadvantage if you don't. Other applicants with this major will more than likely send in their portfolios.

What about engineering?

~33% acceptance rate, 1350-1510 middle 50% SATs.

with under 1000 freshman in CAS its all of a sudden looking more and more attractive as it doesn't look as big as before.

hm..is CALS biological sciences as hard to get into as CAS biological sciences

how about architecture??

Here's a link to the architecture stats... as you can see it's very competitive...last year the acceptance rate was 21.5%...over the last 20 years it has ranged from 20% to 30%, depending on # of applicants and size of class
