Currently attending a US community college. Most likely will finish with a 3.2-3.4 GPA with “blemishes” on my transcript (4 classes). Finishing up an AA in accounting. Would like to obtain bachelors’ and masters’ in accounting and finance.
The university does not seem to offer a Bachelor’s degree in accounting. There’s tax law, business administration, economics…
Admissions to most public European universities carries significantly less uncertainty than admission to American universities. As long as you satisfy all stated admission requirements, you will likely receive an offer. (This particular university is not very explicit about their academic requirements for international students, except to say that their academic background has to be deemed equivalent to a Dutch university entrance credential. Most European universities expect a number of AP exams from American applicants or 1-2 years of US college coursework, including calculus.)
Please be aware that most of your community college credits won’t transfer. Be prepared to start from scratch.
Also be aware that accounting procedures and laws differ significantly between different countries. I don’t recommend studying accounting in Europe unless you want to live and work in Europe afterwards.
