umm USC has become my 1st choice school last few months but i don't really have an idea of how hard it is to get into the engineering school. I'd imagine it would be harder than majors like theater or fine arts. umm i'm in the top 5 percent....all honors/ap since freshman year...took ap chem when i was a soph, ap bio this year, ap physics this next year, ap cal next year. Do i have a chance so far? sry haven't taken the sat yet so i can't post a score. Do i need SAT subject tests?

According to the Engineering director of admissions (at least what he told me when I visited USC last yr), if you can get admitted to USC, then you should have no trouble getting into Engineering.

He said that the only reason they really have to make rejections from Engineering is for high school courseload (apparently there were some applying who hadn't gone past Algebra in high school). Looking at your courseload, you should be more than fine.

Oh, and SAT IIs aren't required, but recommended. I recommend taking the math IIc, chemistry, and Biology.

ehh just took the chemistry and math level 2 last weekend cause im applying to UCSD and UT too. R u at USC's engineering school?

although you will get into engineering if you get into USC, keep in mind that USC itself is highly selective. it's hard to predict whether you'll get in for sure, but you do have a very good chance. USC recommends taking the SAT subject tests. also, try a practice ACT and see if you like it. I did, and USC looks at either your SAT or ACT.
