How hard is it to get into Northeastern's College of Arts Media and Design?

It is my dream to get into this program at Northeastern. Does anyone know how selective it is compared to the rest of the school? I am specifically thinking of applying to the animation or game design programs. My gpa is a 3.7 uw and 4 w and I have a good art portfolio.

Northeastern doesn’t admit by major, you are admited to the school. So it’s no harder than getting into any other college at Northeastern. That being said, Northeastenr has gotten really competieive over the last 5 years or so. Northeastern also takes demonstrated interest into consideration when looking at you application. being on email list, touring the campus( not sure if that’s happening) , attending online info ]sessions, etc.

Applying EA/ED are also ways to show interest. But only apply ED if Northeastern is your top pick and you can afford it. Good luck!

Hi I’m a 3rd year student at Northeastern and also a tour guide here! You CAN be admitted to Northeastern as a specific major if you choose, and Northeastern BARELY takes into consideration demonstrated interest. I know this because I literally work for admissions and talk with admissions counselors. While NU has definitely become more competitive over the years, CAMD isn’t the most competitive school within the university because we are very STEM heavy.

Hey, I was looking forward to apply as an international applicant for Masters in Experience Design. I have a good IELTS score, and portfolio as a graphic designer and 8 months as User Experience Designer. Do you think I am eligible for the application? Any insight would be appreciated!
