how hard is it to get into syracuses' Whitman school?

Anyone that got in mind posting their stats?

3.1 gpa. Great college essay. Minimal activities and a 1750 on my SATS

Anyone know about scholarships to Whitman? It is one thing to get in. Another to be able to pay 60,000 a year!

My GPA is kinda low but I got a 2000 on my SATs. I have community service hours and worked as a cashier. Do you think I’ll make it in… So worried…

Hi, I’m currently a first-year student at Whitman and it had a 33% acceptance rate last year. They look for leadership skills, extracurricular activities, and a good essay. With the newly launched IMPRESS program, it is clear that the school wants students to be engaged and involved in extracurricular activities. Your gpa is lower than average, but your SAT score is great. If you have a great essay and resume, then hopefully, they will make up the low gpa. Best of luck!

Damn, 33% is relatively low I didn’t know it was that competitive. By the way do you think I’ll qualify for HEOP? I heard the requirement was a GPA below 84 but it never mentioned anything about SAT scores.

I found the income eligibility link and the GPA is below 84.5. I don’t know about the SAT requirement. I dont know your stats so I can’t tell you if you qualify for it. http://www.highered.nysed.gov/kiap/colldev/HEOP/documents/EligibilityRequirements2011-12through2014-15.pdf

i have an 81 for gpa and 2000 sat as mentioned on top, and my family earns below 40k

if your family earns below $40K you should be looking for a school that is not $240K for four years

Well, that’s not totally true because his EFC should be close to zero with less than $40K of family income.

can someone tell me if its possible to double major at su in management and poly sci? would i have to reapply to whitman if i entered as a poly sci major?
