<p>I applied to UCSB, but didn't get into my intended major, Mechanical Engineering so how hard is to change into it? I hear the classes are difficult to get into, and even if I do get into them, and excel in them, do I still have a chance? I need to know, because if it is nigh impossible, I'll probably head to SJSU. Also, should I send in my major change request right now, or after I am actually enrolled in UCSB.</p>
