I just recently decided to apply and found out about the Honors program. Does anyone know the average SAT score and GPA of those accepted into the honors program? Also, I haven’t completed my application yet and can’t access the honors application so I was wondering if any letters of recommendation are required. My SAT score is 2000 (1310 combined CR and Math) and my GPA is 3.96 unweighted with lots of AP/Concurrent enrollment courses.
I believe the Raikes Honor program is significantly harder to get into.
I’m pretty sure there were no recommendations required but there was an essay and short-answer question.
Select one of your service or extra-curricular activities and describe what the experience meant to you. (no more than 250 words)
Essay Response*
Please select and answer ONE of the following questions (no more than 650 words):
• Some students have a background or story that is so central to their identity that they believe their application would be incomplete without it. If this sounds like you, then please share your story.
• Recount an incident or time when you experienced failure. How did it affect you, and what lesson did you learn?
• Reflect on a time when you challenged a belief or idea. What prompted you to act? Would you make the same decision again?
• Describe a place or environment where you are perfectly content. What do you do or experience there, and why is it meaningful to you?
• Discuss an accomplishment or event, formal or informal, that marked your transition from childhood to adulthood within your culture, community, or family?
Thanks, do you know if they superscore the sat?
