How hard is it to get into the JP Morgan Honors program?

Did anyone else hear back?

If I apply now, and get rejected, can I still apply as a rising junior? Or is it a opne time thing? If I can apply twice, well getting rejected the first time affect my chances the second time around? ( I'm still debating whether to just chill these vacations, or to actually do something like an internship)

Mighty Nick: how long before you sent in the application did you get a response?

If you apply to the Honors Program, you can still apply as a Junior to the regular SA, this has no effect on that. They won't hold it against you if you don't get into this, after all its actually more competitive than the SA process.

it's not just for URM's. And, realize there are 3 different parts: S/T, IBD, and Research. There's no way they only take 10 people for each group.

2 weeks...i sent mine around christmas.

What do you gusy think, should I apply now as a freshman? Or wait, and apply as a sophomore, so that I get more econ and math courses on my transcript for app. time?

you won't lose out on anything if you apply now and next year.

Yeah I guess you're right. My only dilemma is whether I want to actually do something productive these vacations. I'm worried that they might be the last real vacations I have ( correct me if I'm wrong).

Do what you want to do. It is YOUR choice after all.

Yep... I guess I'm going to apply. If I get it, then I'll chill next vacations. If not, I'll chill these lol. chill or not to chill that is the question (sorry, that was a terrible joke).

do any other financial institutions offere similar program ( internships that aren't just for rising seniors), or just the one?

can whoever got rejected give a little insight as to what they said in their message and when the rest of us can expect to hear? I applied near christmas as well, december 26th to be precise and I still haven't heard diddley.

Maybe they like your application and need more time to review it, unlike mine which they must have thought was ****.

it says "by March 15th" on their website

that's quite far away.....don't most companies contact people in february?

I applied for the honors program, but I never got contacted directly for the Honors Program. I also applied for the launching leaders program and i was contacted for that. and now i believe i will be interviewing for the honors program through the launching leaders program.

Does anyone know the deadline of when people are going to be contacted by?

Hey- I thought the deadline was Jan15th?

Yeah, that's the deadline for the application i.e. yesterday it was due. But my question is, when can we expect to hear about whether we got the interview or not? Mighty Nick got his recently, and based on that timing, shouldn't they start coming out right about now?

Anyone who has applied before to this Honors Program: could you please give some insights as to when we can expect something?

application isn't even open at Penn - it starts on Jan 30th
so unless they've already planned on picking x number of people from x number of schools...you'll have to wait for some time.
