How hard is it to get into the JP Morgan Honors program?

can you guys post your stats and stuff so I know what I may be competing against? And can whoever gets an interview post his/her stats as well? I was so looking forward to interning at JP for this honors program, and now it looks like 3/10000000 people get in. .... Frustrating.

4.0 1/1355 in freshmen class 1 in major and 1 in school

variety of EC's including leadership roles as a college freshmen

diverse background: Lived in Poland for a number of years and had to struggle through school in the U.S. for a couple of years

owned and operated an incentive marketing business

i am on the same boat as you wharton11...except it has been a little over 3 weeks for me.

As far as my finance experience, the summer before my freshman year I worked as a financial analyst for a real estate corporation and built several models from scratch, one of which they use today. Last summer I worked at NASD/FINRA, and I currently work at GUASFCU (the largest entirely student run financial institution in the world) in the Finance department.

are you guys making this stuff up? That's pretty intense if you are 100% serious. Yeah, 2ndchance, I applied dec. 24th. That's like close to 5 weeks now and no reply from JP Morgan Honors people. Whatever

4.0GPA, some leadership roles in school
organized an international culture program which transported some American students to China to teach high school students
attended the global business competition held McKinsey as a senior in high school and got a decent result

my inperson is tmw in new york.. if i ever make it to new york..

What are they waiting for??? I see that people are getting automatic rejects or interview within 2ish weeks....Why am I (an some others) left out in the blue?

just checked my status, not invited for interview, so oh well.
I think they changed the number of interviews at Penn from 14 to 5.

how did you check your status?

I have yet to also receive anything but I am assuming it's a lost cause.

I just went to the online career service website to see if I had been called for any interviews...and I was not.

they are done makeing selections...if you havent heard...it's over..

How do you know this and how can you be so sure?

if you haven't heard back, it is most probably over.
one of my friends got invited to an interview so they aren't done selecting people for the position.
just chill and try again next year.
something surprising though: before, it said they had 14 interview spots at Penn, now it says 5.

the recruiter emailed me and said they picked everyone already...

unlikely that they would still offer interviews after picking everyone...but could explain why they cut interview spots from 14 to 5.

ah. not even a "rejection" notice. That's kinda disheartening.

They are obv. not done selecting students. NYU's interviews are on the 14th

Usually, large companies will not send you a rejection letter. Often times, they only contact you if and only if they are actually considering you (i.e. they find a match). It's a difficult concept for many of us early on (since colleges at least send rejection letters/e-mails), but that's how it is in business. And colleges will not throw out your application. They will always read it. Businesses can easily throw out your resume if they want and not follow up, which of course simply sucks. I've applied to quite a number of places, and the only two places that sent me an application rejection letter are Goldman and McKinsey. (Perhaps only the best in the fields do this? heh)

However, if you are lucky enough to get an interview and get rejected from there, you will almost always get a rejection e-mail or phone call within a few days.

Also, don't worry if you haven't been able to get an interview or turn an even great interview (or so you thought) into an offer. It happens even to the best of applicants.

well, I'm coming out of a state school. Maybe they look at our apps last?
