How hard is it to get into Tufts for IR?

I want to go to Tufts for IR. It's my top choice by far.
General info:
White female from the midwest. Will graduate next year with a total of 12 AP classes, including math through Calculus III and DiffEq, AP Euro History, AP gov, AP micro and macro economics, AP chem, AP French, etc. Way above a 4.0 weighted, a 3.96 unweighted. Top 1 or 2 % of my class of about 1,000 students. National Merit Semifinalist and hopefully Finalist. Currently have a 32 on my ACT, planning to take it again. Took the SAT once a long time ago and got a 1960, planning to take it once or twice more.
Extracurriculars:
President of Key Club
Officer of the debate team (been involved for all four years of high school)
Mock trial
National Honor Society
Student Council
Potentially Native American Honor Society, if my app is approved.

I want to major in IR and either double major or minor in French (I will have taken a total of 5.5 years of French after I finish high school). Tufts is one of the best schools in the country for IR.. I want to go so badly.

What kinds of students do they take? What do I need to do to get in?

Your stats look good. ECs are very generic unless there is something you didn’t mention. Apply ED if it’s your first choice. It will give you a better shot.

The running joke at Tufts is every freshman is either IR or Pre-med, which seems to be kinda true. Being IR probably won’t make your chances any better or worse. If you want an idea of what they want to see for supplements, look at the admissions blogs on the website, it definitely helped me out. Be genuine and show your personality. Best of luck.

Unless you are an engineer, prospective majors mentioned in an application rarely matter.
