Hey, I was wondering for the current trojans how there how hard it was to maintain a 3.0. That is the requirement to keep my scholarship going- I'll be majoring in electrical engineering and take some courses towards a business minor. Thanks!

good question...bump

Why not aim higher?

its not that we're not aiming higher...i think you are misunderstanding the point of this post. i just want a general idea of how competitive it is at a private university.

yeah. i can't really say anything because i'm only an incoming freshman too. i'm sure that it's not cutthroat competitive, especially GPA-wise. i know i plan to do whatever i can to help fellow trojans.

I think this is a silly question. Difficultly is inherently relative to each person. I have not found it especially difficult to keep my 3.6 in the Journalism school, other people find it very challenging.

My advice: do your work to the best of your ability, not just good enough to keep yoru scholarship. Chances are you will have to work for that, esp. in engineering, but how hard exactly you will need to work depends more on you individually than anything else.

What is the average school-wide GPA in USC? And how about the average GPA in engineering?

Most schools encourage professors to center their class averages on a 2.8, which coincidentally is about the all school gpa. I have no idea for the engineering school.
