How Hard is it to Maintain a 3.5 GPA at NYU?

I have to maintain this GPA to keep my scholarship. How hard will this be?

not too difficult - especially since you have a resaon to want to do well so you probably won't slack off too much

if its stern it can be fairly hard.

it shouldn't be extremely difficult if you do all of your work and you pick and choose the right coureses, especially for those map requirements. I would advise you not to fill your schedule with map courses the first semester, as those are very time consuming, and a lot of the profs are very tough graders (or at least in my experience they are).

good luck, and congrats on your scholarship!

Thanks for the responses.

Depends on your classes. If you take science classes, math classes, upper level econ, upper level business classes. then it can get hard. On the other hand if you're in GSP a pulse is enough to have a 3.5, now its up to you to manage your courseload and more importantly, manage your time. I had a 3.5 last semester and all i did was party. This semester if i kept up my last semester work habits, i would have like a 3.0, i stepped it up this semester with more difficult classes and my grades are higher.

if you got a scholarship, then you must be good enough to be able to maintain it. Be confident.
