Study now. Take a practice test in Feb. If you do well, take the exam. If not, you should not take it. You have to sign up for the exam by March. You should know for sure before you sign up.

If you are self-studying, you should get multiple books, especially Barrons/Princeton Review.
One book is never enough, since you don’t have a course to fully support you.
And start studying today, because procrastination kills a lot of time @.@

It’s really not as difficult as it seems to be.

I used Cliffs and the McGraw Hill 5 steps to a 5. I also found a link on one of the CC forums for the labs. That was enough.

Oh, and Anonymous1993’s advice is really good.

I self-studied and only got a 3. Big Tip: DO NOT PROCRASTINATE - it will bite you in the butt. Start very early with memorizing facts and details. Use the Campbell-Reece textbook. It does an amazing job with explaining. I started self-studying in January (very bad idea), so I urge you, start NOW or as early as possible. If you spend 30mins a day in the Campbell book, you should have no problem. Also, take plenty of notes (helps a lot with memorization). Towards the end, get Cliffs AP Bio as well as Barron’s AP Bio (also very helpful).

Good luck.
