How hard is it to self-study for AP Micro/Macroeconomics?

I'm taking AP Bio and AP US History in school this year, and planning to self-study AP Comparative Government with a pretty good background in world affairs and politics...what I'm wondering is if I'd be able to self-study AP Micro/Macroeconomics with that. How hard would it be to self study them and would it be better to self study a specific one instead of both?

I only took Marco, so I don't know about the other one, but Marco is easy enough to self-study.

Yeah macro's very easy to self study. Know the concepts of 3 graphs and the rest is common sense.

I read the Kaplan book once for Microeconomics, and then once again the day before the test. Looked at a few graphs online and did the FRQs, and I expect a 4 or 5 (my predicted raw score is right on the verge of the two). And now about a month from the test...I forgot everything o.o. The AP Micro test a memorization test with a touch of common logic. If your good at analyzing and have even a slight passion for economics you'll do great

Macro's half common sense.
Micro's easy as long as you have some graphs down and know all four market types.

I know it sounds nerdy... but econ is fun. Def. the best subject I have ever studied

so which one do you think is the easiest to selfstudy? micro or macro? or should i just do both?

How does one typically self-study?
Do you review throughout the year, or do it all a month or two before the test? I'm pondering self-studying AP Micro/Maroeconomics... but I'm not sure yet.

i self-studied macro this year and will study micro next. i'd recommend going to half-price books and picking up a textbook (case&fair is pretty good). The only annoying thing is that you don't have to study everything--which i rather did.
Get an ap review book early so you know what's on the test.
and really, know the graphs by heart.

So how difficult would it be for someone like me? And which one is easier, Micro or Macro...or is it better just to get both over with at the same time?

bumpppppppppppppp

I had a horrendous teacher for Micro, everyone complains you don't learn anything in his class. Then I do a little review on my own and take the AP, only to find to there's really not much to learn. I got a 5. I'm convinced a good, or even decent, teacher could teach all of Micro in a weak. Learn supply and demand, elasticity, relative/absolute advantage, the graph of a firm in a competitive market (especially), and the graph of a firm in a monopolistic market and you're done. Provided you have an intuitive sense of how economics work, you should have no trouble.

ROFL MARCO.

Anyways um thanks for the ideas, I'm thinking of self-studying as well.

^ DAMN. I cannot believe I was spelling it that way for the whole freaking year. Damn firefox spell checker. I rely on it too much.

LOL I didn't even notice MARCO the first time I read it.

ap polo?

(10 char)
