How Hard is it to switch Majors

I initially signed up as a Math Major at Cal, but after this year I kinda don't feel like being a math major for the next 4 years of my life. Is it hard to switch into Molecular/cell Biology? I might go pre-med and that seems to be the only logical major to switch into.

Even though on the application it asks you to specify a major (if any), you are not in any way binded to your selection. You can pretty much declare anything within your college provided you complete your lower-division prerequisites (and in some cases, have the necessary GPA). So yes, you can change into MCB. However, you don't have to be MCB to be pre-med. You can major anything you like, as long as you complete the med school admission requirement courses (bio, chem, physics, math, writing).

not hard, just submit paperwork early

Haha, MCB is just as hard as math. In many ways even harder. I think you should look at the majors more closely and find somethign that suits you rather than doing somethign you're supposed to. Not all premeds are mcb majors; you can do just as well majoring in history and taking just the science classes you need.
