Say if I was to plan to major in finance, how hard would it be to transfer into that? Meaning what GPA would I need to transfer in after my sophomore year?

Can someone please answer.

I believe that this info can be found on the OSU website under the Finance major. You need a 3.0 to get into Fisher, but your gpa will determine which specialization you qualify for.
From the website:
“Individual specializations are competitive;
GPA requirements for each specialization can fluctuate
with each applicant pool”.

My son pulled his gpa up enough to apply to Fisher, but only qualified for the real estate specialization. He kept improving his gpa and kept applying and finally got into his desired major of Logistics & Ops Mgmt. I think Finance and Accounting are harder to get into and require a higher gpa, but apparently it depends on the applicant pool.

PS. He graduated last March and has an amazing job in his field. He has gone back to speak at Fisher and has nothing but good things to say about the school.

HTH

The higher the better, but I believe a 3.5 or 3.6 should be okay. Finance and accounting are the specializations with the higher requirements, but it isn’t impossible to get in. If you aren’t able to get into the specialization you want, you can try again after improving your GPA.
