How hard is it to transfer into the Ivys?

Barack Obama did it.

Lets say I went to a college, earned good grades, and decided I wanted to go to an ivy league school. How hard would that be?

remember that times are changing and you cant compare admissions from the last 20 years... and also hes black

its harder than getting in regularly- i think some of the ivy's accept around 5% of transfers.

but dont they only accept like 8% of regular applicants? So is there really a difference

How hard is it? Well like the RD admit rate, the transfer admit rate is dependent on no. of slots and the no. of applicants for those finite slots. Last year, the Frosh admit rate at Yale was 8.1% and the transfer admit rate was 2%. Not many Soph or Junior year slots opened up.

How hard to you consider 2%?

Yale is for fruits.

Princeton takes no transfers, so you can count one out.

Ditto Harvard, for at least the next two years.
