How hard is it to transfer into UCI as a civil engineering major from a ccc?

<p>Hi, everyone</p>

<p>I'm currently in my first semester at my local community college. I was originally planning on transferring to either UCLA or Berkeley, but I can't transfer out in two years if I want to get into those schools, so I just want to get into UCI. I wanted to know how difficult it is to get into UCI as a civil engineering major. What kind of gpa would be required? How strict are they with the major requirements because I might have about two of major requirements missing. Also, are engineering majors impacted over there? Will I able to get in if I fullfill just a little over the minimum requirements while having a good gpa?</p>

<p>Complete one year calculus and one year calculus-based physics w/ labs. Those are the most important pre-reqs.</p>
