I read their site and it say's that competitive gpa is between 3.5 and 4.0. It also says that you could transfer in as a Junior. Well, what do you think? From what you guys know; how hard is it to transfer into Stanford? BTW, I'm an out-of-state student.

8-10 percent chance. assuming you have close to a 4.0 probably closer to 18-20% chance. just like any other elite college need strong recs, essays, etc.

Transfer applicants must have completed at least one full academic year (two semesters or three quarters, excluding summer sessions) prior to their anticipated enrollment at Stanford, and they must be able to present records of at least 26 semester or 39 quarter units of transferable course credit, excluding AP credit and credit awarded by exam.

You don't have to be junior to fulfill this criteria. That's what I think... What are you basing your knowledge on?

UCLA says their average transfer GPA is 3.5 according to their transfer admission website. Exactly the same 3.5 is mentioned on UCSD transfer admission website. Why does every school say it's 3.5?

I know someone who transferred to Stanford from Colby. Not sure about what her stats were, although I imagine they were quite high (her sister is the current valedictorian of my high school).
