I got waitlisted from Tech and I am not sure if I will be accepted from that list.
So I will probably have to go to UGA. Does anyone know the difficulty level of transferring into TECH through Computer Science and is it hard to get a good GPA there.(And what courses do I need to transfer)

bump bump bump

GT has a program with certain schools in Georgia in which you do the first 2 years at a different GA college and then can transfer. I’m not sure what it is called or what GPA you need though however you have to take certain classes. maybe someone else can give you the name and what colleges.

ya i rather go to uga and transfer after 1 year after taking all my classes that are required for my major because computer science isnt part of the RETP thing

bump bump bump

one down side to trying to transfer after only 1 year.
January - March you send in your application for transfer. But you only send your fall grades. and they require 30 transfer hours (along with required engl, math, chem ect).
Because of this they ask for your spring semester grades…

yeah im in that boat now, at UGA… so the soonest im going to get an answer is June.
By that time, im pretty sure spots are filled up, although they probably allocate some spots for 1st year transfers… but the chances are even more lower. All the other bright transfers from out of state, 4.0’s…

although if you can get that 4.0 it would be awesome. My advice, dont take the physics 1 here, unless you look up the professor and know hes easy. made that mistake and got a C+ while I got A’s in all my other classes.

jackhoofin did u take the calculus based physics for engineering and science? I also feel like taking physics at tech would be worse. Who was ur professor so i know i wont take his class

Jackhoofin what was ur major? and what dorm would be good for studying lol
