How Hard is it to Transfer to UVA?

I am a Virginia resident but do not have good enough grades to get into UVA. I have a 3.8 and a 30 ACT, but think I am going to retake this one more time and probably take my SAT and SAT IIs sometime soon. I hope to major in either psychology or biology with a pre-med focus if that helps. What types of stats does UVA look at in transfers? HS GPA? College GPA? ACT and/or SAT? Prestige or perception of college? Or is there something else that colleges, especially UVA, look for in transfer students?

The longer you are in college, the more weight your college grades will have over your high school grades/test scores.

You’ll want to be involved in extracurriculars, show leadership, and do well in school. Are you still in high school? It seems like you are. If so, look into the VCCS guaranteed acceptance program. I know that UVA has an agreement with the state’s community colleges to guarantee acceptance to CC students who meet certain requirements.
