Hey everyone! I just got accepted to CAS a few days ago! In order to have my tuition paid by my mom's job, I must maintain a B average. I am kind of freaking out because I feel like that is going to be near impossible! lol.. can someone give me insight onto their first year/the difficulty of the curriculum? thank you :-)

There's everyone's favorite "Writing the Essay"

Getting A in that class means that your writing gets published.

3.0 GPA shouldn't be hard. 3.5 should definitely be doable.

it won't be hard. wte you'll probably get around a B but that's probably it

Continual, unfounded worrying will help you.

Wait, what is GSP? If want to major in the sciences, what you still alllow to transfer to CAS??

Btw, cj1989, What does your mom work as???

She works for the med school.. anyone who works for nyu gets their tuition fully covered.

OP, did you by any chance get the merril lynch scholarship?
As for GPA, it all depends on your classes, science majors will work harder than most other majors (labs primarily) but overall college is more difficult than H.S. (unless your in gsp, don't argue with me on this one: gsp people have told me this firsthand). 3.5 is doable if you put in the effort and study. I had a 3.5 and i was kicking myself because there was one class where i know I should have gotten an A or A- instead of a B+ but got the B+ because of my own mistakes, but hey you live and learn. good luck.
