How hard is pulling an A in Anthro 2AC?

I just got my midterm back, and it's an 87%. Would it be difficult to obtain an A in the class at this point, because there's only a few things in the class that get you points, and things aren't curved (I think...)?

im totally effed up.. >< -.- i failed. i pretty much have to get 100% on all the tests/assignments to get an 90%

You can still get an A.
87% is not a bad score. It's above average.
My GSI said that even if you got a lower score, A is definitely possible.
Don't worry about it.

^ even a lower score like 40%..?
i don't think it's possible.
Can i take this P/NP?? it's an american cultures/breadth requirement..

yes, you can take it p/np

too late now. you can't change to p/np...

yes, you can (im not sure what shadow is referring to)until 10/31..on the other hand you cant drop right now

yes you can take it for p/f...the deadline is at the end of October i think.
i'm not too sure about 40 % but my GSI said something like if you show great improvement through next midterm, they'll do something more than just averaging the scores? not too sure if this is what he said exactly but you should talk to your GSI or professor.

sorry for the misinformation. i was thinking of drop deadlines. i thought they'd be the same (it was for my community college). does it matter if i take anthro p/np if i'm not majoring in anthro? I'm doing premed, so a GPA would be what i'm striving for...

you can take it p/np.
but you should just take it for a grade because you have a great chance of getting an A.
it can boost up your GPA..

Out of curiosity, how much truth is there in the rumor that grad schools view a p/np as a C or and F, depending on if you pass or don't pass?

I'm a prospective math and possible physics major, so I doubt I'll be applying to medical schools or law schools, since I know they calculate gpas differently than grad schools.

Thanks.

"go-back" who's your gsi?

"Out of curiosity, how much truth is there in the rumor that grad schools view a p/np as a C or and F, depending on if you pass or don't pass?"

Woah! Are you serious?

Know, that's not true. Grad schools don't care if you take a course P/NP as long as it isn't in courses that count towards your major, which you shouldn't be doing anyway. Courses you take P/NP don't go toward your GPA one way or another.

88888888-my GSI's John C. (I can't spell his last name)
