Since I have AP credit it looks like I'm going to have to register into either Math 3C or take the math 32 series. My question is, which one is easier. I've heard form different people that multivariable is really hard, but how does it compare to math 3C (which ill prolly end up taking with brose).

which series does your major require? the 3 series is more applied, as it is specifically for life science majors. the 31/32 series is more general math with no specific applications (its for engineers, physical science and other non-life science majors).

major is psychobio but if i wanna apply to med school i need one year of math.

i think your decision would also depend on who will teach 32

The Math 3 series is definitely easier than Math 32A/32B.

Having helped a friend w/ her 3c hw last year, I strongly agree

I heard we don't have to take the math placement exam if we take the Math 3 series. Is that true?

There's no point in taking the math 3 series if you're a prebusiness major is there? And it's not possible to take math 31A if you passed the calc exam is it?

AK1031: Regardless of the series, you need to demonstrate that you are ready for calculus or beyond... which means AP or placement exams.

rosedust: You mean pre-business/econonics? I think they require the 30s... so yeah, 3 series would be of no use whatsoever unless you switch to a life science major.

No, you cannot repeat courses that you already have credit for (from AP exams or community college).
