how hard is to get in to Cooper?

I'm Junior, and I really really want to go to Cooper Union Archi.
and I have GPA3.83(fresh), GPA 4.31(soph), GPA4.5(Junior),,
Last time I took SAT and I got 2100.. and next year, I'm gonna take it over.
I never got straight As
...................
with my gpa and sat, do you think I can get in to Cooper union Arch?
and How Hard is it?
i heard home test thing was hard..
do you think Cooper Union is better than going to RWTH Aachen?

I hear that the home test counts the most for admissions into the architecture school and though the SAT is considered, it's usually not a determining factor. The school only takes about 35 freshmen ever year, and about 600 people apply, so the acceptance rate is pretty low.

thx a lot.
I guess it's really really hard to get in.
so do you know anyone who got into Archi major?
if you do.. how are they(in academic way)..?
oh and is it really really really hard to graduate?
that is what I heard.. like many ppl quit once they get in.

Architecture accepts about 15-19 kids per year. Art accepts around 65. Engineering accepts about 200. The school has an in-state quota of about 50%, though art and architecture are about 40% in-state students.
So you can ssume that they accept 10 or fewer out-of-state architecture students each year. But somebody's going to get in, it could be you.

Cooper Engineering is easy as hell to get into w/ the exception of the EE program.

Average sat is around 1200 and they have a 3.7+.

NYU is much more competitive than cooper engineering which BTW, has very poor professors who are underpaid and don't really teach anything.

Average SAT scores differ depending on which school you're applying to. I would not be surprised if the overall average SAT score is 1200 because the art and architecture school don't really look at that too much. The engineering school on the other hand, focuses heavily on numbers when it comes to admissions. The following is straight from the Cooper catalog:

The middle 50 percent of the Architecture freshmen
scored a high school average between 90 and 97 and SATs
between 1120 and 1390.
The middle 50 percent of the Art freshmen scored a high
school average between 88 and 96 and SATs between 1030
and 1270.
The middle 50 percent of the Engineering freshmen
scored a high school average between 92 and 100 and SATs
between 1380 and 1510.

NYU does not have an engineering school, so you can't really compare the two. What they do have is a joint program with Stevens Institute of Technology in Hoboken. A few years ago, I also heard they were exploring the possibility of cross-registration with the Polytechnic University in Brooklyn, but I don't know if that fell through or not.

And I wouldn't say it's "easy as hell" to get into when they only accept 100 people annually.

Engineering accepts over 200 annually

more from the catalog

I will say this though. They have an amazing physics professor named Wolf.

did any prospective applicant to cooper union receive confirmation that their part II essays for engineering were received?
