Last I checked the average GPA is a 4.06… that’s pretty intense. My GPA currently is a 3.6 with Math being the only C. I’m getting tutoring to hopefully be able to change that. While not required, I’m planning. on doing the admissions essay and the recommendation letters. Should I even bother applying?
(Have no idea if this matters, but I’m an international student)
Depends on your test scores. It doesn’t hurt to try. If you REALLY want UCF and you don’t make it in, then go to community college for a year and pull all As and Bs. Then re-apply. Good luck!
Like Trisherella said, your SAT/ACT scores are a big factor. Also, comparing GPAs is complicated. Obviously, a 4.06 is weighted with additional points for Honors and AP/IB classes. Different schools use different weighting for those classes. Not sure if your 3.6 includes that. Also, some schools only look at “Academic” classes and not electives like PE, health, etc. So, don’t get caught up on GPAs unless you know how the university calculates your GPA and you compare yours “apples to apples”.
