How hard to change schools?

My daughter got into Annenberg. Her plan would be to Major in Comm and minor in music industry. If she changed her mind and wanted business as her primary interest, how hard is it to move from Annenberg to Marshall?

Decision time down to the wire.

Did you see this page on internal transfers into Marshall?

It can be done, but is competitive as Marshall has a few more hoops. You have to complete a writing, econ and math before transferring, and typical USC gpa getting in is 3.7+. The reputation is it can be easier to get in Marshall as a freshman than as an internal transfer, but of course some students do it. I have a Marshall/Leventhal grad and another that considered transferring in, but then got into their dream major after several major changes (Music Industry, another hard one to get into as very limited spots) so didn’t go through with applying internally to transfer to Marshall, but we had researched it pretty well and she talked to several insiders about it. They have an info meeting on what to do for internal transfer to Marshall shortly after school starts.

Required before applying to transfer:

WRIT 130 or WRIT 140 or WRIT 150**
MATH 118* or higher**
ECON 351x****

Leventhal Accounting adds requirements on top of that.

The minoring in music industry or anything is not an issue. Minoring is wide open.

Guessing it’s a bit stressful at your house - good luck!!!
