For students or parents of Dartmouth, do you know anything about the DALI lab (Dartmouth Applied Learning and Innovation)?
I understand it is a great lab and my DD (just admitted but still undecided between Dartmouth and Northwestern) is interested in it. I am just wondering how hard it is to join the lab. Is it very competitive to get in? Does it count credit to the CS major? Normally how much time shall a student commit to the lab projects in addition to the regular class work?
Thank you.
Pretty sure it’s not that competitive. Not sure if it counts towards major (not my area).
it is one of (if not the) most competitive jobs on campus. this past term DALI had several hundred applicants for two dev positions, to give an idea (i’m a student here). DALI work on its own does not count towards your major, but there are DALI related courses you can take that do. the minimum time commitment a week is 10hrs, but most developers put in closer to the max (which is 20).
@jaismith thank you very much for your inputs.
