How hard to switch majors in Cal Poly SLO engineering?

There’s so much I love about Cal Poly SLO, but I don’t have any idea which engineering major I would want to choose and that is keeping me from applying.

How hard is it to switch majors within the engineering college if I decided “wrong” when I applied? And are there engineering majors that are easier to switch out of since they cover the same required courses as other engineering majors in the first year or two?

General Engineering might be an option instead of selecting a specific Engineering discipline immediately and then you can look into changing majors later.

That! You’ll have a leg up too, as they expect GEs to change. For now, SE would be the only one left off the table. Good luck.
