How hard to transfer?

Since my stats are low (2050, 3.5... bad junior year) but Cornell is my dream school, I'd like to transfer in from another top 50 school. What does it take to get in as a transfer student besides high grades? Thanks a lot!

Um, no ideas?

I am a current student at Cornell. There are alot of transfers, many from community colleges. Always pursue your dreams, never give up on Cornell.

manyfaces, do you know any community college tranfers majoring in eingineering?

Based on all of his other posts, manyofmanyfaces is not a current Cornellian.

i am an engineering student and do know a senior who had transfered in. Unfortunatley, i don't know when or from where he transfered.

From "Information for Transfer Students - College of Engineering"

Prerequisites for transfer: The most important criteria for admission to the College of Engineering are the content and rigor of the college-level courses you have taken and how well you performed in them. You are not likely to be accepted unless you have a grade-point average above 3.0 (equivalent to a B) in a rigorous, accredited engineering, engineering science, or preengineering program.

Fall of 2005 there were 234 Engineering Applicants, 77 were Accepted, 30 enrolled. (From External Transfers Admissions Statistics by College)

Thank you for the time you devoted to give me an answer. However, I have already read all the of the info you gave me.
I was interested to know how many of these engineering transfers came from community colleges.

I looked for that, but it does not seem to be posted on line.
Maybe you could get an answer or advice from the admissions office.

Good Luck
