<p>How hard is the UM electrical engineering department to get into and graduate from? D has been accepted into the Engineering Department at UM. This is the highest ranked school on her accepted list of colleges. At other schools she has been directly admitted into the EE department, honors colleges and 1/2 to full tuition. With 32 ACT math score, she worries she is at the bottom of accepted engineering students and assumes the risk is to high to take a gamble on UM. (We are IS and local). Granted, Michigan is a fine school, but not a good match if one has little chance of succeeding. All other schools are in top 40 for EE. Advice?</p>
<p>Assuming she meets the minimum GPA requirements at the time she declares, she's in. She doesn't really have to "apply".</p>
