How many hours a week would it take of studying to get an A in Calc 1?

Is it not just about how hard you work but if your naturally good at math?

I am average at math in my opinion, but I am determined to get an A in calculus but I am not sure whether I have the natural ability to do so.

Have you taken calculus in high school? It is possible to get an A in Calc I. Yes, it will be easier for one to get an A in calculus if you have a “natural ability,” but that will only take you so far in mathematics.

With that being said, you will have to work your butt off if you want to receive an A in calculus, especially if you haven’t taken calc in high school. The pace will be very fast in college, but it does really depend on your professor. Do not be discouraged though! As long as you do lots of practice problems and seek help when you need it, you will be able to get a good grade.
