How harshly do college admissions judge a midterm grade report? AP Stats killing me

I'm definitely not suffering a bout of senioritis; the class i'm taking is very difficult and i just can't get a handle on it

I'm taking AP Statistics, and i currently have a pretty low C in the course (i'm struggling pretty badly) and i'm worried that it will end up being a D on my midterm.

This is stressing me out because I've never had such a low grade in my entire high school career (i've maintained about a 3.6-3.7 gpa) and my other grades this year are pretty good (All A's and one B except for stats) and I got pretty high SAT scores.

How much would this affect my admission into schools like George Mason, Mary Washington, and University of Richmond? I'm worried that I won't be able to get in because of one low grade on my midterm. I was told to just keep trying to raise it, but after i send my midterm grades off it seems to be too late to try to do anything.

From what I’ve seen/heard/read a bunch of people struggle with senior year math classes. I think its normal to have a hard time if you aren’t a natural for it. The rest of your grades are solid so I don’t think it would matter too much.

A “D” would be a red flag, but if your other grades/credentials are good and since it is only midterm grades, just try your best to raise it (talk to your teacher and beg) and i think it won’t hurt you too much. If you are in the gray area at any of these scools, that D could tip you into the rejection pile, however.

lol nvm i got my grade it’s a B+…no idea how i managed that :)

What if you have like a high C+. How would that effect schools like BC, UCLA, UC Berkely, UMich, etc.
