nns- a C will hurt for top schools, but a F will essentially kill chances big time...

Even it is for just a quarter ??

Does your school put quarter marks on transcripts? if so, yes your chances will go down quite significantly

What if not ??

I feel the power of senioritis hitting me soon, but I'm glad it has yet to do so yet. Now that the SATs are out of the way, I'm pretty much in a better mood and a BIT more relaxed than before but things senior year are still pretty hectic with all the college apps :), six ap classes this year, and keeping up with my sports.

then you better work your ass off in the 2nd quarter and get that calc grade up to at LEAST a C...

Could be better.
AP Physics B- B+? Not really sure.
AP Bio- B+/A
AP Lang & Comp- B+?
Orchestra- A+
US History- A/A+
Spanish 4 Honors- A+
Precalc Hnrs- B+

I think that's like a 3.6 or so.

Well. Just got a 49.4% (94/190) on a Chem test, so that's down to an 89.66... (At least 89.5+ is an 'A' by any teacher's standards in my school... and 85+ is an 'A' by this teacher's.)

Also, Bio is down to 100.74, and Psych to 98.8. I'm slippin'.

English II H - A-?
Art History - A+
Latin III H - A (>:o MUST raise to A+ before 11/11!)
Precalc H - A- (>:o MUST raise to an A before 11/11!)
Cooking III - A+
APUSH - A/A- (hopefully raise to an A before 11/11?)
Chem H - A- (>:o MUST raise to an A before 11/11!)

So yeah its not bad at all, but I definitely feel like I can do better.

I think I officially have a "C" in AP Physics. I would also like to point out that we have had 66 (Not kidding, official number) of assignments this 9-weeks in AP Physics. Does anyone else see anything wrong with this number?

...............

Anyways, um, during the past few days my grade went from a 2.8 to a 3.8 then to a 3.0 then I had a 4.0 for 2 days then it dropped back to a 3.4, which is what I have now.

89.3 in Calc BC...are u serious right now?

98.3, you mean. That's high. Even in my Pre-Cal class I can't exceed 95%, and I always thought I was well-versed in Math (looks like I'm wrong 0_o). Either your school is easy or you're a natural, Poseur ;)

Yay! My math grade should be up to an 85 or so by the end of this week (still low but not nearly as bad).:D

^^ I think he's talking about his own grade.

Also, thanks. ;] Uhmm, I dunno if Calc is easy... it's all based on tests, so if ya know it, you do well, which is nice.

Apparently Bio (my highest grade!) is hard, though. o__O Like, when the teacher was telling people their grades, I heard a lot of "YESSS I HAVE AN 81!"

It's going pretty okay, but my grades are much lower than last year (freshman yr)

Psychology: 90 (:[[[)
H. Chem: 98
AP Bio: 96
AP Stat: 93
French: 100
Band: 100
Lit. Criticism: 96
Ceramics: 94 (grrrrrrrrrrrrr)

Oh I'm screwed. I have to work extra hard to get a decent 3.9 by the end of the year.
Still getting used to some things, but will get my momentum going :D

Well, I now have a:

Latest Averages
844 - 511, Advanced Placement Physics B 103.70
553 - 211, Advanced Placement Calculus BC 102.60
142 - 311, AP English 4 A
740 - 711, Sports Medicine 1 98.00
250 - 411, Advanced Placement Psychology 91.00
645 - 111, Jesuit Spirituality A

Physics is bound to shoot up a bit, though. Today I got a 200% on a quiz (lolololol, go bonus questions!) and a few days ago I was the only one to get the correct answer on that quiz (one long question quiz, haha), so if he curves it, I might just have gotten a ~180% on that one as well.

Grrr I'm incapable of raising my psych grade because he has weighted categories and one category worth 37.5% of the grade above has one minor assignment in it (that I scored an 82 on) and he's not giving us any more things for that categorry, so acing all of my subsequent tests and assignments won't do anything to my grade...

Wow, terrible job in physics doomster.. that grade inflation really hurts ;]
