How have you decorated your room?

I recently transferred from a CC to a state school and have been extremely excited to decorate my room and whatnot. So far I've put up three posters on my extremely bare walls. I bought a piggy bank that I'm using as a bookend for my books on my desk also.

I've been thinking about printing out things that reflect my interests/people/etc, i.e. my favorite animal or my mother's favorite flower. And I have a couple of magazines that I'm planning on using to cut stuff out from to use to make a collage (any other ideas?).

I'm wondering how everyone else, specifically ladies, have decorated their room.

haha soooo cute!!! i brought a bunch of pictures my first year and made them into a collage on my wall along with things i like like crescent moon pictures, tree drawings, sparkly ribbons, name tags i accumulated. I also brought a poster of the logo of a band i went to see, various calendars, and a poster that was really cute of a couple on a dock. I also learned how to make those tiny origami stars and put them in star glass containers and got a pink bear bank for my change. I ended up buying a pink lamp and it was a nice touch atop the mini fridge. I painted on a tiny canvas and put that on my wall too. AHH i love decorating, i really want to get string lights to go around the loft in my dorm for the next year.

I put white christmas lights up around the ceiling, got a colorful rug, some colorful throw pillows for my sofa, a big flag with my schools logo, and my favorite movie poster. I also bought a really cute curtain for my closet, it doesn’t have doors. I have a couple of cool lamps, too. Given that I have two white boards and a corkboard, I think that is all I have space for.

I want to make a collage for my door.

looks around

Nope, no decorations other than a few pictures of friends. Male rooms ftw.

I am bringing some art and flags:

Framed prints/art:

 • Yankee Stadium in the 1930s
 • The Flatiron Building
 • The Rat Pack
 • Watercolor of Washington Square Park
 • Pink Floyd Back Catalog
 • Guinness Advertisement “My Goodness, My Guinness!” With a Seal and Zoo Keeper.

Flags:

 • Flag of NYC
 • Gadsden Flag

I’m definitely planning on making a photo collage also. Just have to pick and choose which ones I want to use now.

Ah, christmas lights are totally banned at my school!

What do guys decorate with, anyways? I’m just planning on bringing some posters, a calendar, and a couple pictures of friends and family.

My large collection of hunting knives and my sacrificial altar.

I had absolutely no decorations of any kind last year – no pictures, posters, statues, etc. I might have a crucifix this coming year. I’m not one for sentimentality, but rather aesthetics, and as it is difficult to hang a large framed print in the dorm room, I probably won’t have many “decorations.” I do have some furniture.

Ah, I ordered a carved wooden cross made in jerusalem yesterday that is going up, too. I ordered it at 4am and forgot all about it. XD

I have a bunch of posters and pictures. I haven’t put them up yet though.

looks around

Ummmm… </////< about 17 anime/video game/animal/castle posters (including one epic kingdom hearts 2 poster that i am very proud of). Very nice facny curtains in purple dark blue and turqoise, a turqoise bedspread with circles all over them. 6 anime figures (leave it alone). A few stuffed animals. 3 rugs, two blue and one purple (feet are bad, need cushin).

I think thats about it. I need to return home to pick up my plants (a hanging ivy and a african violit).

And yes, i am a nerd/geek/otaku and am damn well proud of it.

I have /a/ poster of the Three Stooges, my dad and I watched the show all the time when I was a kid so I have it for sentimental purposes. I also have some printed pictures of things I’ve photoshopped over the years and a single photo of my family. It is the only one in which everyone looks even remotely happy, so.

And of course I brought my favorite plush creature, Cthulhu (pronounced Kah-Thu-Loo in case someone didn’t know that). A voodoo doll I obtained while in New Orleans summer last… and my Buddha, and then several small elephants for monetary superstitions.

Other than that, my color theme is green and purple? I guess. Not intentionally, that’s kind of just how it happened.

@icedragon

I’ve probably asked this before but… anything with Loveless? ._. -developed a killer Ritsuka obsession… and Rolo… ooh poor Rolo-

and @iggy? Cthulhu ftw >_>

loveless? haven’t seen it. Is it good? I’ve got a few posters from some random obscure anime.

I approve of the Cthulhu :D

Haha, yes! The Great Old Ones!

I’m so jazzed that my nerd geekery does not have to exist in this shame alone.

@icedragon – it’s the vaguely shonen-ai one with the cat-eared people.

…and speaking of Great Old Ones, I should probably ask about Soul Eater too.

i started it over the summer and havent’ finished it yet. Its pretty good.

At the moment, i reccomend:

ghost hunt
ghost hound
07 ghost (whats with the ghost theme lol)
fate/stay night
spiral (have a poster of this)
dnangle (classic, and have poster)
.hack//sign
d.gray-man (manga is going weird though ;/)

And i’m pretty sure you already know of the ‘big three’

Anywho ahem back on topic

I forgot to mention that have a blue attomon and a black stand that holds my frig and microwave. It ties it all together.
