Are there a lot of Indians applying for Management at Undergrad level in top Colleges such as Upenn U Michigan Cal-Berkley (HaaS)

for UPenn, YES. Many Indians apply there

By applying for a course where few indians apply will there be an advantage
or is it that colleges in order to maintain diversity select top applicants (limited number I read that there is an unofficial quota ) from india irrespective of which course the apply ?

Indians apply verywhere..ORMs in most colleges. You do find some small colleges where indians are URMs, but they are not often well ranked.

Upenn is fulll of indians..even michigan

I hope to be one of the indians at penn :)

Indian population is heavy throughout US colleges and it is among the leading nation to send students there. every gud univ and not even gd ones will have their share of the Indian Diaspora..

SM

callthecops2 ur an ED acceptee at Cornell...aren'y u being a bit ignorant of the terms of ED?

who said that ... ctc2 never got accepted ED to cornell.. coz he never did apply for cornelll ed.. he did Upenn ED...

SM

omg!!! really sorry then...i was always under the impression ctc2 appld Cornell ed

btw please tell me why u end all mssgs with a SM???

Actually he did Princeton ED...

hahahaha!!!! this is absolutely hilarious...all claiming ctc2 to their own univs

I'm going to assume smartmind ends all his messages with "SM" to stand for "SmartMind". As his signature.

i OBVIOUSLY figured that

the q is WHY????

Why do you sign the bottom of every letter you write?

Why should it matter?
As for where CTC2 applied ED/EA:
http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/showthread.php?p=1848577&highlight=kee10#post1848577

and well..forget my SM mark at the end.. interesting to see ppl guess why u do that.. and yes its a sorta of signature for SM only.. no doubt..moreso as a habit coz of the fact i do sign of anything i write anywhere... even in my newspaper articles on comp...

and well ctc2 did really do Princeton ED which aint my university...i was wrong.. yeah i checkd now..

he was turned down but that was some time back..... and he is waiting for sum big time stuff now..

SM

Yeah, i did Princeton ED and got rejected...i was shocked. I had applied RD last year and got rejected...and my stats really didnt deserve rejection. Anyway, my 1450, 760/750/730 should hopefully take me somewhere this round :)

Regarding Indians at US universities.. you'll find that Asian Americans are much prevalent than students coming directly from India

So while they may be Indian, look Indian.. you'll find them to be quite American in their thinking and habits.. So if you are coming fresh from India.. you certainly will be in for a shock!

International students compromise of a small fraction of the student body.. and out of those international students, a small fraction will be from India.. However if you look at the student body make up of most colleges.. you'll find between 30 to 40% are asian.. and they are second only to White Americans... Out of the Asian students.. a majority will be Indian, followed by Chineese and Koreans/Japaneese..

Lol.. ctc2!! I was going through this thread.. and i was like callthecops2 EDed Cornell? No wait Eded Penn! Thats impossible!
and finally at the end of the thread I learn you Eded Princeton..

hehe!
