How High School affects admission?

Hey, I just had a couple questions about admission into Berkeley.

I am currently attending a California Community College and I was wondering how much my high school grades affected my chances with getting into Berkeley. I did poorly within high school and never took the SAT's, but am currently getting a 4.0 in college. Will it work to my advantage that I improved from a C average to an A average, or will it hurt my chances that I did poorly in high school?

As a business major what GPA do you think would be necessary to gain admission?

Lastly, does Berkeley factor +/- into GPAs?

HS +/- no
CCC +/- dunno

For a business major, a 4.0 may not even be enough. It's that competitive.

As far as high school goes, they don't look at that. The system is set up so they look at your CCC transcript to decide admissions

+/-: i would think so because a) berkeley works with +/- b) if you have an A- for your class then your gpa would not be a 4.0. but some CCs dont have +/- grades like some high schools do/dont have +/-, so im not sure how they would compare you with other students.
