Wow, It's really annoying to see people who deliberately lie about their stats in a chance forum just to get a better review. This person literally lied about/fabricated 6/9 ec's and volunteer positions combined. Not to mention leaving out the fact that her SATs were estimated scores that she has no idea if she can even get them. She also says, "if I get into columbia ed, I'm going to drop all my APs senior year" way to challenge yourself and show you're ready for college. Hmmph. and these type of people (number 1, pad resumes with easy leadership positions (VP)) get into the ivies.. how "deserving."

Well, changing your stats in a chances forum is much different than lying on an actual college app. Maybe this person just was curious to see how much their chances would change if their stats improved. I don’t see anything wrong with that.

I’m so sorry that you have allowed someone to get you so upset and worked up like this. Seriously, relax. It’s not like they’re coming and yanking your college acceptances out of your hands.

No, this person is arrogant and is willing to put anyone down/take anyone else’s deserving opportunities to make their application perfect. Trust me, this person fully expects to get these “curious stats” and pretty much sees them as definite.

i agree, but life isn’t fair. sometimes colleges can see behind ur stats, and sometimes they can’t. and most people who fabricate their stats and don’t get caught do get into top colleges. so no, it’s never been fair. but fortunately i think not many ppl do that so don’t worry about them getting in instead of you
