Math 150/160 to Calc 1?

because we all know what uni you go to and the academic rigor of its courses, right?

i’m guessing you’re talking about the jump from pre-calc to calc? it was fine for me, but then again I had a very good pre-calc professor the semester before I took calc.

Um, what?

I am a senior in high school inquiring about the jump from MATH 150/160 “Calculus with Analytical Geometry” to a college “Calculus I” class.

nobody knows how difficult your calc class is or what college you are going to or how difficult the calc is at that college, so it’s pretty darn hard to answer your question.

Hell at my school there are three different “Calc 1” classes. One for science majors, one for engineering majors and one for business majors. Each has a different focus and approach to calc as well as difficulty.

But anyway, the fact that you’re doing calculus now should mean that you’ll be at least somewhat well prepared for calculus in college.

The content of whatever your school calls “Math 150” would vary from school to school.

…And aren’t you therefore already doing calculus? I’m sure a college class would be taught probably at a quicker pace, but I mean, the information is probably really similar. Or not very huge of a jump, anyway.
