How important are ACT and SAT Subjects for Penn?

Hi!

New to the forum...

Wondering about how important SAT Subject Tests are in admissions for Penn. I'm 9 out of around 800, GPA is 99.92, SAT Reasoning highs are CR 770, M 750 and W 800. AP US History in tenth grade score = 4. National Merit Semifinalist so far (PSAT CR 80 , M 67, W 68) waiting on finalist. Went to PA Gov School for Health Care this summer.

Everything honors that I could -- large HS -- not too many Penn apps (3-5 a year?)

No big athletics, but international champ in Let's Get Real Research Competition, Medalist in Science Olympiad, Scholastic Scrimmage, Student Council, liaison to community boards, etc.

Took the IIs today -- Chem, Math I, and Spanish wih Listening. Don't feel too good about the Spanish, Chem is a ? and Math is good, I think.

Question -- 1) How important will this SAT Subject Test result be in my scheme of things? I applied to Penn ED and will rush all SAT Reasoning and Subject Test scores ASAP. Took ACT -- don't feel too good about that one, either.

2) Should I send the ACT results to Penn? They claim they will look at 2 subject tests OR the ACT with writing.

What do you think I should do about the ACT? And will lower scores on the SAT Subject Tests sink my chances?

Thanks for reading and your feedback.

Why bother with the ACT? Your SAT's are outstanding.

Thanks bonmar.

Took the ACTs already in October -- don't feel good about them --will a lower ACT hurt the good SATs? and what about if I don't do an equally good job on the SAT Subject Tests?

Wondering how much more I need to do to secure a spot at Penn...
