I come from an extremely competitive school. More than 80% of the school takes APs during May therefore we take them at our on school. Due to the competitiveness of my school, many students take more than one AP during their time here. However, due to budget cuts, less students are being admitted into AP courses and thus neglected from taking the AP. I am currently a junior, and I have taken the AP Physics B exam, self studied. I signed up for BC next year but I was put into AB.

Basically, I wanted AB, school said no room. Just how important are APs exactly? Many of my friends take 2-3 APs a year, and i feel left out or lacking if i only take 2 in my high school year. Also, do APs greatly affect your application?
