What would happen if someone applied to a very competitive school such as UCLA and their GPA was just under the acceptance threshold when they submitted their application, but then got all A’s in their last semester, bringing them above the threshold? (By threshold, I mean minimum competitive GPA). Are we notified of our acceptance to the school before or after we submit final semester grades? I currently have a 3.81 GPA which was the minimum accepted GPA for EE students who transferred to UCLA in 2016, but if I were to ace all my courses in my last semester, I would have around 3.84.
You will do an update (TAU) with your Fall grades in January so the schools will include these grades in their admission decisions.
