Now that i'm done applying, i'm wondering how important each section of the application is, interview, recs, gpa, curriculum, essays, ec's and standardized test, etc.

since i'm pretty sure i rocked my interview and my recs are really good, i want to know how much they actually count, and how much the other stuff counts because i think i may have rocked the interview :), and i know my teachers recs are pretty good.

Why are you bumping this thread one and two minutes after posting? That's just irritating!

To answer your question:

It depends on the university, but generally interviews have very little influence, and recommendations have a fairly significant influence. To expound on that, you have to have a spectacular interview for it to help, but even there, it's mostly a tipping point factor. Great recommendations are especially important if you have lower standardized test scores, etc.

sorrry, didnt realize it would **** anybody off
thanks

wow did not know they censored that word. ha.

from my humble opinion, I think the recs will be fairly important, considering teachers see you the most. Interviews? not so much. Those can be arbitrary depending on how well you click, time spent talking etc. However, if you have a spectacular interview, it might just tip you into the admit pile.
