How important are LORs to scholarships?

<p>so i am applying for an institutional scholarship at Carroll Univ. in Wisconsin and its a sceince scholarship and requires 2 recommendation letters and one i think was between average and really good and the other is mediocre, (i got to see the letters cuz im sending them in) but i was curious how much impact LORs have on scholarships in general and this specific one, its called the otto davies science scholarship</p>
