how important are mid-year reports??

there are few concerns i have about my senior mid-year reports.
in 1st quarter, i got 3 B’s and 4A’s. in 2nd quarter, i got 5 A’s, 1 B, and 1 C :’( so in order to make up for the 2nd quarter grades, i aimed to do well on my midterms. however, i did really badly. i got 2 C’s, 3 B’s, and 2 A’s. now i’m really worried that i have no chance of getting accepted to my regular decision colleges :frowning: i already got into UMD college park, and i’m happy about that. but i really want to get into some other schools, but now i’m just too anxious. am i just totally hopeless now? how important are midterm exam grades?

my GPA is 3.74, SAT is 2080, ACT is 31, subject tests are 760 720 700

Colleges don’t look at your exam grades. They look at your mid-year grades which should be cum for the year so far, and end of year to make sure you’re not just coasting with Ds.
