How important are SAT II scores to Dartmouth?

^^
“So the students applying with only SAT scores are at a disadvantage?”

To tell you the truth, until you pointed out that Dartmouth accepts ED applications without Subject Tests being taken yet, I have not come across anyone who applied ED and then sit for the Subject Tests later in January.

I cannot say if it is a disadvantage or not applying ED without your Subject Tests(you can call the Admissions Office) but consider this… you have to sit for your 2 Subject Tests no later than January of your Senior year(as stated on the Dartmouth website) and all RD applicants have to submit 2 Subject Tests scores. Now you tell me do you think it a disadvantage if you apply ED without any Subject Tests.

A subject test is another way for you to tell the college something about you.
If you are interested in say… Physics, SAT I score cannot tell the whole story but the Subject Test plus any Physics AP exam taken will show your interest or proficiency in that subject.
