how important are satII's

i took two satII one for APUSH and the other Bio M , I didnt do very well. I am just not good at these tests . I got a 630 on apush and a 680 on bio. Do colleges look heavily at these scores. Do i have any fighting chance with these scores if everything else on my application is good. or should i take them again??

Well, sat subject tests do not take a big role in admissions.

They are certainly not enough to discount you if everything else is good, but be aware that the majority of applicants to Harvard have stellar scores on everything. You want to have as few weaknesses as possible.

I advise that you take them one more time (don’t take same SAT ii’s more than twice… I forgot where I heard that source from). SAT II’s definitely are not humongous role, but as Dwight said, try to have as few weaknesses as possible

I am sorry to be sort of stealing your post mariamss, but I have a question.

Should I retake a 720 US History Subject Test? I am sure if I studied a ton I could do better. And I am interested in Government and Poli Sci. The only issue is I have heard that I should try taking as many as I can do well in, and I only have time for one test date left.

Should I take Math II, Bio E, and Lit on my next test date (giving me a total of 4 scores) or should I get rid of, let’s say, the Lit, and retake the US History with a hopefully higher score?

I guess it really depends on how much these tests matter.

Also I am sure if I study this summer, I can do decently on all of these tests, and I have no clue which I would do best on.

Thanks!
