How important are senior year grades?

Do the UC’s use senior grades during the admission process?
-or-
Is it (once you have decided to attend) only used to see that you pass your classes?

UC admissions only use Sr. grades during the application period if you are borderline admit and they want more information. This has been fairly common for UCB but in the past year, UCLA and UCSD have been doing this as well. Not sure about the other UC’s.

If you are admitted and accept a UC, they will then require you to send your transcript including your Sr. grades and graduation.

The UC’s require a minimum GPA your Sr. year as a term of admission. Each school is a little different, for example, UCLA and UCB require you to maintain a 3.0 EACH SEMESTER of you Sr. year, etc.

And yes the UC’s do rescind admission offers (especially the upper tiers) for low grades Sr. year. It is on CC every year.

thanks, that’s exactly what I wanted know
