Hi, im a senior in highschool and i havent taken a SAT II yet. I only took one SAT I before and im booked for the next two months (admissions are due). Should i take an SAT II in december or just forget it because im already late on taking my test? thanks!

It depends: if you’re applying for any University of California school for fall 2011 admission, they’re required and must be taken by December.

Most other colleges do not require the SAT-II; check with each schools’ websites to see what their admission requirements are.

Most of the top private colleges require SATlls. Check for schools you’re applying to.

even if they aren’t required, most schools do accept them and they can definitely help you. With score choice, you don’t have to report them, so there’s no downside to trying

Whats considered a good score? Say you just don’t have time to study and you can only reach 650-700 range. Does that put someone at a disadvantage?

scoring varies from test to test. if you go to the collegeboard website you can find the scores/percentiles for each test. keep in mind that the people who take these tests are a much smaller and more self-selected group than the regular SAT, so scores tend to be pretty high. for example the people taking the physics SATII at a minimum would be students who already received a good grade in at least one HS physics class.
