I'm a Hispanic First-generation male applying ED to CALS within Cornell.

I've had really bad science teachers, and scored a 540 in bio, 530 in physics, and 470 in chem < got lost going to test center, came in late and frazzled.
In us hist, math, and math II i scored each in the 600's. Basically the weakest part of my app. is SATII's, will they take the 2 highest, or will they judge me by the 470? Is it enough for a rejection if everything else is great?

I feel like my app. is really great, except for this one spot.

Well they recommend 2 SATII's and I have met the director of my major, and he specifically said the "test scores ran the gamut", the mean score was low 600's for this dept. How harmful could a 540 be in this situation?!? He also said that it was better to see you tried the SAT's and SAT II', or else they feel like you are unmotivated.

ACT 31 is very strong. Complaining about your teachers and blaming low SAT IIs on them raises questions about your level of maturity and competence in science.

They say "either" SATI or ACT+Writing. I'm under the impression that the school does not judge based on poor scores, but on the best scores. I never complained about the teachers to the college, that would just be pointless. Plus this would also raise eyebrows about my high school's rigor and faculty, so I definitly made no excuses for any scores.
